Biography: I grew up in California’s Central Valley and graduated from Biola University in 2006 with a B.S. in Biological Sciences, a minor in Chemistry. Since then, I have been an outdoor and science educator, wilderness trip leader, and research intern for various seasons in Maine and New Hampshire. Now, I am pursuing a joint M.S. in Environment and Resources and Forestry, studying landscape governance through expert knowledge networks in southwest Wisconsin in light of emerging biomass markets. I approach my research holistically, so my other academic interests include epistemologies of science, complexity sciences, collaborative and participatory research, and various disciplines including education, sociology, policy sciences, environmental history and forestry. When I’m not conducting research, you can find me laying in the leaves, playing guitar and singing, traveling rivers by canoe, swing dancing, and coiling messy ropes. I'm currently looking for a position facilitating collaborative learning and community resilience.
