Biography: Dr. Baird is a Canadian who has lived most of his adult life in mainland Southeast Asia. He completed his Ph.D. in Geography at the University of British Columbia. He has broad interests but is especially engaged with political ecology, human-environment relations, development studies, post-colonial studies, Lao studies and Hmong studies.
