Biography: My research program focuses on the biology and management of undesirable plants (weeds) in cropping systems and natural areas. I have three areas that I study, 1) evaluating weed management methods that improve productivity or efficiency in management in grassland ecosystems, 2) determining root development and growth of weed species, and how management activities alter these processes, and 3) developing effective invasive plant management techniques that can be integrated with restoration methods in natural areas. I also have an active extension program that that looks to educate people on how to improve management of weeds while limiting environmental degradation.
