People are the heart and soul of the Nelson Institute.

Our accomplished faculty and staff represent more than 50 academic fields, from the humanities, engineering, business and law to the biological, physical, health and social sciences.

Our students boast equally diverse academic and experiential backgrounds. They bring inspiration, intellect, and strong personal commitment to the Nelson Institute.

Our alumni, numbering well over 3,000, are leaders and innovators in business, government and non-profit organizations throughout the United States and abroad.

Our Board of Visitors advises and supports the Nelson Institute in program direction and development.

Beyond the campus, we build professional partnerships with people in government, business, the nonprofit sector, and academic institutions.

Together, we conduct a host of community programs and events that promote a more environmentally, economically, and socially sustainable world. We also support resources on and off campus that strengthen this our community.
