The Environmental Studies Student Association (ESSA) exists to foster communication and community among Nelson Institute graduate students, faculty, and staff. This involves discussion of and participation in social and environmental issues and activities.
Student Representatives, embodying the goals of ESSA, organize such traditions as the fall picnic, the spring chili cook-off, and happy hour. We also answer questions of prospective and new graduate students, voice the comments and concerns of students to faculty and staff.
Do you need to be a student representative to become a part of ESSA? No! Do you need to fill out forms to become a part of ESSA? No!
You just need to join the discussion! The ESSA e-mail listserver was created as a forum of information and opinion on issues, activities, meetings, and events of interest to people in the Nelson Institute. Subscribers are mainly graduate students, but also some alumni, faculty, staff, and undergraduates in the certificate program.Use the subscription form
