To be considered for crosslisting by the Nelson Institute for Environmental
Studies, a course must be approved as either (a) a course in the institute's

To obtain approval to include a course in any of these programs, submit the

Exceptions to this policy will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
If a course proposed for crosslisting does not meet the above conditions, an exception
to this policy must be obtained from the academic programs chair. A
request for an exception should be accompanied by a letter of justification for
crosslisting. This justification should go beyond describing the salience of
the proposed course, explaining how the course will advance the academic careers
of Nelson Institute students. A syllabus should be attached to the letter of
request.
The academic programs chair will evaluate these materials in a timely manner
and, if needed, consult with members of the Instructional Committee or with the
committees governing the Nelson Institute's undergraduate or graduate programs.
