Executive Director, National Congress of American Indians

Thursday, March 12
7:00 p.m.

Tribal nations are using research and data to advance tribal sovereignty, and Pata argues that when tribes are in the driver's seat stewarding research partnerships, the outcomes are more robust and meaningful. She will discuss NCAI’s efforts to build tribal research capacity and foster tribal-university research partnerships that inspire innovative solutions and produce meaningful and appropriate outcomes for native nations.

Pata will be introduced by Jon Greendeer, President of the Ho-Chunk Nation. Program will include remarks by Lawrence Roberts, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Indian Affairs, U.S. Department of the Interior
