1710 University Avenue - Global climate models indicate that anthropogenic climate change will alter precipitation patterns in Wisconsin. In particular, the magnitude of large rainfall events will increase, as will the ratio of rain to snow. However, predictions vary significantly across models. The challenge at this time is to determine which adaptations should be made now, rather than incrementally as climate changes. In this talk I will summarize the major water resource issues in Wisconsin and how they might be affected by climate change. I will also discuss potential adaptations as well as research required to improve decision-making.
