The Sustainable Endowments Institute (SEI) is a nonprofit organization engaged in research and education to advance sustainability in campus operations and endowment practices. Founded in 2005, the Institute is a special project of Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors. Located in Harvard Square, Cambridge, our office is easily accessible by public transportation. Position Overview:
The Sustainable Endowments Institute seeks a highly motivated individual for a full-time Program Coordinator position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in higher education and/or the healthcare sector, with proven leadership in project development and management.
Main responsibilities will include developing a Massachusetts-focused program, which will assist nonprofit institutions in implementing energy efficiency and resource-use reduction programs through establishing green revolving funds. Familiarity with the Massachusetts nonprofit sector is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities:
The Program Coordinator's responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Conducting weekly communications with a network of college and healthcare administrators
Conducting and disseminating research on sustainability programs
Coordinating information and working with Institute staff on current and new research
Developing innovative outreach strategies to connect with new constituencies
Organizing and hosting a series of workshops across Massachusetts
Qualifications:
Ability to succinctly summarize and communicate data
Ability to anticipate, identify, and creatively solve problems
Demonstrated ability and experience with advancing sustainability and environmental projects
Experience with data analysis and entry
Flexible and cooperative work ethic
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Proven work experience with college and/or healthcare administrators
Proven leadership ability
Strong oral and written communication
Compensation: Competitive compensation commensurate with experience.
