Stewardship Specialist/Northern Virginia Conservation Trust

The Northern Virginia Conservation Trust (NVCT) is seeking a full-time professional to support its conservation easement stewardship program. Working under the Director of Stewardship, the Stewardship Specialist will be responsible for maintaining NVCT’s land records, monitoring protected properties annually, preparing monitoring reports, gathering data for baseline documentation reports, and creating management plans. The individual will be expected to respond to and review various landowner requests, and assist the Director of Stewardship on enforcement actions. The individual should have some knowledge of database management and GIS technology; and have excellent interpersonal skills. The position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, a demonstrated commitment to project completion, and an interest in the outdoors and land conservation in urban and suburban areas.
