Technical Assistant Coordinator, Rails-to-Trails Conservancy

The Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit environmental organization, seeks a Technical Assistance Coordinator (TAC).

Position Overview:

The TAC position is part of the national office program department staff. The TAC will support the National Transportation Enhancements Clearinghouse (NTEC) and our placed-based trail development and Urban Pathways Initiative work.

Responsibilities:

Job Duties: provides technical assistance to the public and staff; manages web-based resources, track, and records trail and TE-related information, oversees database functions; maintains the NTEC website; and assist with other trail development and trail policy related business as needed.

Qualifications:

B.S. or B.A. degree from a college or university in transportation, urban planning or land use planning, geography, environmental studies, community development or related field. Preferred minimum of 2 years work experience (nonprofit background is a plus); excellent database management skills; online communications; advanced knowledge Adobe Creative Suite; and community organization experience.
