Field Research Technician

Location: Northeast Wisconsin and upper Michigan
Job Description: FISHERIES RESEARCH TECHNICIAN is needed late May through August of 2012 to help collect various data in northern Wisconsin as part of a research project investigating zebra mussel habitat preference and population dynamics. Duties will include snorkeling, SCUBA diving, measuring physical habitat features, estimating zebra mussel length and age, and data entry. Applicant must be SCUBA certified, have the physical ability and desire to work long days, ability to work a full work week and occasional weekends, a driver’s license, and the ability to work and live in a team environment. Student preferred. Position wages are $11/hour and housing will be provided. No personal transportation or equipment will be needed.
