Location and team
Join the new team that is helping energy utility commercial and industrial customers save energy and money. DNV KEMA is seeking an Outreach Manager in Detroit, Michigan. This position requires an experienced sales and marketing professional who can craft and implement comprehensive outreach plans with diverse tactics on behalf of utility sponsored energy efficiency programs. The position reports to the Operations Manager and provides leadership to other staff activities and marketing subcontractor. This position will serve as the direct contact with the client’s marketing team.
Responsibilities:
Tasks may include
Work with our utility clients to create and implement comprehensive marketing plans and outreach strategies for energy efficiency programs directed toward businesses.
Assess individual market opportunities and adapt diverse tactics to motivate audiences to action. Establish metrics for gauging impact.
Oversee and participate in the development and nurturing of trade ally network including the development and monitoring of sales leads and results.
As required, conduct research, prepare and edit content for technical fact sheets, program brochures, outreach materials, case studies and other collateral. Translate technical messages for multiple audiences.
Write analytical white papers.
Create and deliver training presentations.
Plan and execute meetings, trainings and PR events.
Maintain excellent client relations.
Provide leadership to new marketing activities in remote offices. Manage support staff and interns.
Support business development activities.
Qualifications:
What we're asking
B.A. or B.S. in a related field; advanced education a plus
10+ years experience
Experience marketing energy efficiency or energy efficient products
Knowledge of national, regional and local energy efficiency initiatives
Highly-polished communication skills—written and oral
Ability to transition quickly between tasks
Solid problem-solving capabilities
Creativity and attention to detail
Positive attitude and ability to work effectively with different teams
Proven track record of translating technical messages for diverse audiences
Ability to travel
Solid computer skills
