Envir St 901 - Overview

Important!  All students who wish to go on the field trip must go to the Field Trip Info page.The purpose of this seminar is to introduce students to the mission of Nelson Institute through an informal seminar setting. The mission of the Gaylord Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies is to promote understanding of the environment and to define and solve environmental problems and issues through leadership in interdisciplinary instruction, research, and outreach at all levels, from campus to global. Promoting the understanding of the environment requires knowledge of both biogeochemical processes and the functioning of human institutions. Hence, the interdisciplinary emphasis and focus within the Nelson Institute.

More information on the seminar portion of Envir St 901 will be posted closer to the start of the fall semester. If you are interested in going on the field trip, please go to the field trip page. There is a form that you will need to fill out by August 1 in order to go.
