Joint MPH Degree Committee

This committee is charged with looking at the option of creating and designing formal joint degrees with the Master of Public Health program.

Applied Master's Degree Design Committee

This committee is charged with addressing design considerations for an applied (non-thesis) master's degree program in the Nelson Institute by mid-September 2006.

Core Competency Committee

This committee is both an information-gathering team and an adviser to the Redesign Committee. It will survey existing graduate programs and workshops in environmental studies to discern which competencies, and which methodologies to teach those competencies, are most effective. The committee will then advise the Redesign Committee on how best to fold specific competencies and methodologies into the Land Resources degree structure.

Criteria Committee

This committee is developing new evaluation criteria for Nelson Institute faculty members based on the interdisciplinary mission of the institute.

Business and Environment Committee

This committee is charged with exploring possible joint efforts between the Nelson Institute and the School of Business.

Position Vacancy Listing (PVL) Committee

This committee is charged with developing a faculty position development listing (PVL) by mid-September 2006.

Redesign Committee

This committee is charged with harmonizing the structure of the Land Resources degree with the goals of interdisciplinary teaching, research, and outreach, along with student needs of community building and competency instruction.
